Technology Focus Groups

The purpose of this focus group is to respond to the needs of HMGMA members by maintaining the HMGMA web site in the following ways:

• Maintenance and promotion of the HMGMA web site.
• Research useful web sites to provide links to the HMGMA web site.
• Tie in to MGMA resources.
• Develop a "database" of technical jargon with definitions and how IT is used in medicine.
• Monitor and share information related to changes in IT that affect medicine (may dovetail into insurance committee, e.g. HIPAA).
• Use e-mail capabilities to keep members informed of pertinent information.
